Heady Stuff
As a team, Bettina Covo and Brian Taylor have created innovative and dynamic music, spanning from Classical and New Age to Celtic and Soul. Their masterful compositions and arrangements have been used for films, TV, choirs, and performing artists all of genres. Among others, their nationally-acclaimed group Chromatica, a 7-piece electronic band, performed throughout the metropolitan NYC area, and was interviewed live on WQXR’s The Robert Sherman Show, as well as performing live on Voice of America. More recently, their original piece Peace, Joy, Love and Happiness, written by Ms. Covo and produced by Mr. Taylor, was performed by the Neo-soul artist Marlon Saunders at the International Day of Peace Vigil in Central Park, sponsored by the United Nations. Among their numerous NYC projects, original pieces and arrangements have been written for the Lincoln Center Outdoors summer series and most notably The Big Apple Circus. Additionally, they have written for several magic acts, including the nationally-acclaimed Jeff McBride and Margaret Steele. Heady Stuff represents a powerful team of musicians with the ability to realize your project from start to finish. Brian Delma Taylor

BETTINA COVO, a M.M. graduate of The Juilliard School, has performed as a harpsichordist, organist and keyboardist with many groups, both as a soloist and accompanist. She performed live on Garrison Keeler’s “Prairie Home Companion” and toured Japan with the New York Symphonic Ensemble, where she inaugurated the organ in the Hong Kong Cultural Center’s new Concert Hall. As a singer/ songwriter, Ms. Covo has performed original songs from her CD “Out of the Shadows” in many of the prominent NYC clubs. More recently, her original song Peace, Joy, Love and Happiness was performed by the Neo-soul artist Marlon Saunders at the International Day of Peace Vigil in Central Park, sponsored by the United Nations. As a composer/ arranger, she has written for award-winning children’s plays, Off -Broadway productions and independent films as well as many recording projects. Her Choral Works have been performed in churches such as the Duane Methodist Church, First Baptist and Trinity Church Wall Street, where Ms. Covo was producer of The Complete Haydn Masses, released to international acclaim in 2009 under the Naxos Label. Among her numerous NYC projects, Ms. Covo has composed and arranged for the Lincoln Center Outdoors summer series, Cirque Le Masque and most notably The Big Apple Circus.
BRIAN DELMA TAYLOR (1952-2017) was a performer / composer / actor who lived in Peekskill NY for 7 years. His extensive resume includes performing on Broadway in “Miss Saigon” for 8 seasons, “Sunset Boulevard,” “1776,” “My Fair Lady” and many others. As a young flutist, he was the Grand Prize recipient of six national and international concerto competitions, and was the featured flute soloist with the San Antonio Symphony, Austin Symphony, Houston Symphony and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Brian produced original music for recording artists, television and film. His recording, “Chaka Ngwenya and Friends, Music for Orphans Volume One” received world-wide recognition, and his workout CD of original music, “SoundPainter Odyssey: Music to Move by” was released in 2015.
