Echoes of the Past is a new soundscape created especially for the High Line by Bettina Covo and Owen Burdick, artistic directors of OMICRON PRODUCTIONS.

An immersive, informative, engaging GPS driven platform to educate and entertain the user as they travel along the renowned High Line, NYC.
High Line Live Sound Installation
The sound of a freight train will travel along the now defunct tracks of the High Line as hidden speakers, spanning approximately two and half city blocks, magically transform the park into a real life rail line taking the visitor on a journey into history and the imagination.
Echoes of the Past pays special homage to the original purpose of the High Line as a fully functioning railroad freight line. We hope to highlight the educational and historical relevance of the park as well as create an engaging and enjoyable sonic experience that will invite imaginative interaction with this unique public space.
